Nagarkot lies 30km east of Kathmandu, on the way there you’ll cross the ancient Newar city of Bhaktapur.
By car, it takes about 1,5 hours from Kathmandu to reach our hotel. As an extra service, we can pick you up from the airport (and drop you off).

How To Get From Kathmandu To Nagarkot By Bus

Take the bus from Kathmandu Ratana Park to Bhaktapur. The bus stop will be Kamal Binayak. This bus runs every 1-3 minutes. The bus runs from 5:00 am until 7:00 pm each day. It takes about 1 hour. In Bhaktapur, you have to switch buses and take the bus to Nagarkot. This bus runs every 35 minutes or so, and runs from 5:00am until 5:00pm. It takes about 1 hour to get from Bhaktapur to Nagarkot. Of course, travel times are dependent on traffic and weather.

From the bus station here in Nagarkot, it is about a 7 minute walk to our hotel. You will walk towards Mahankal Temple.

SUNRISE TOWER TOUR

For those who wish to get an even better view of the sunrise over the Himalayas, they can get from the hotel. Half an hour before sunrise, a car leaves from the hotel to take those who want to come and see the view from the View Tower. This tower, in the army base camp, is the highest point in the valley. One can get magnificent views over immaculate sunrises over the whole Himalayan Range.
